I have never been a kid person. I babysat, like, all of four times when I was a teenager. But I find the older I get, the less enthusiastic about babies I get. That's weird right? It's supposed to be the other way around, especially if you weren't a huge fan in the first place?

The thing that I recently realized is that the friends I have who have children... their kids are all still pretty young. And, I know having a baby changes everything, blah blah blah. But what about when they are 13 and shit? I mean, old enough to be a pain in the ass, too young to drive, and no doubt involved in like a bazillion activities.

I have a point. I spend probably an hour or two a week starring at my calendar going, "When am I going to get to the gym; when am I going to fit in three short runs this week; when can I go out with so-and-so?" How the hell am I suppose to do all that I already do in addition to the working and the sleeping AND drive a bunch of mouthy pre-teens to soccer practice or gymnastics or chess club or whatever?

Babies, smabies.
