They make this big deal about all of the danger and drama, and deep down you kind of want to tell them to get a grip.

And yeah, at least truckers are doing more of a service; the same with ‘The Deadliest Catch’ — although I can’t say I can get behind risking your life to catch king crabs. But at least they’re just trying to make an honest living. It’s harder to get behind studying the weather somehow. I don’t want to hate on studying the weather….but it’s hard to tell what they’re accomplishing by driving up to and then panicking and driving away from Tornadoes.

Yay for holidays. I’ve never seen Storm Chasers — I agree it sounds dumb — but on a related note, here’s Matthew’s issue with Ice Road Truckers: they’re always playing up the drama but there really isn’t any. As he put it to me this morning “I mean, I don’t *want* someone to fall through the ice and die, but…” Ha! But at least on that show the dangerous thing they are doing has a purpose…also it makes Boston feel a little less cold :)
