I’ve lived in both places as well (boston and all over NC) they’d cancel school down there if the weatherman said anything that could rhyme with snow…the next day kids would be desperately making snowcovered mudballs,and mudmen with the qaurter inch of snow that was going to melt in an hour.
but the inverse is true. in boston 911 gets flooded with symptoms of heat stroke because it actually hit 88 degrees.
